The latest installment from Nursing Fright Videos. Written and Directed by Kristen and Holly - Nursing 332 - Section 5.

This video shows viewers the importance of infection control with regard to decreasing the incidence of disease transmission from contaminated scrub uniforms. A brief description of some common bacteria and infections they cause is followed by a nurse's opinion and CRNBC nursing standards of practice, the video concludes with the VIHA policy of when and where scrubs should be worn and how they should be laundered.

We hope that this video helps nurses understand the importance of changing out of their uniforms at end of shift, and proper decontamination procedures in the home.

"Just because you can't see bugs doesn't mean they aren't there!"

  • Please when you post another heath promoting video include the today's style of nurses wearing their pant leg at a length which touches the floor, and it is not just the younger nurses that are doing so!

  • We at Patho Phizz love your video. We make scrub tops with the pathogens already on them!
