  • How can I know how much to wind it before I can take a shot? Do I wind until the dots are in the middle of the little window? Or on both sides? I'm so confused and I already know I've screwed up my whole first roll of film, but my Diana F+ camera has also been passed around (brought it to a wedding) so other people have taken pictures with it and I'm not sure if they wound the film or if there are multiple exposures on this roll. And I have no idea when it's safe to take another picture. Thanks!

  • @heatherhxo If the camera got "passed around", I would expect some double exposures, unless the people handling the camera were instructed to advance the film after every shot. After each exposure, wind the film until you see a frame number in the window. The numbers will appear upside down, but that's normal.

  • where can you get 120 film rolls developed?

  • @hajincho If there is no custom lab in your area that can handle 120 films, go online and find DwaynesPhotoDOTcom or TheDarkroomDOTcom -replace the DOT with a.

  • How Do You Know How Many Times To Wind Inbetween Each Shot?

  • @DenaiMooreMusic No, but it doesn't matter. the frame advance is visual. look for the next frame number in the little red window. The frame numbers are printed on the paper backing.

  • Hi, sorry, I've wound the film...and I can't seem to find the number one. I'm using the Kodak Portra 400V film. I found number 2 fine. ...I can't seem to find the number 1, and I really am too scared to waste another roll of film, please help!

  • are the numbers on the film supposed to show up upside down??

  • @kaituba thank you! :)

  • @bubblegumm Currently, you are getting a little overlap with each image, because with a 16 exposure frame, the negatives are slightly smaller. No frame and the counter set to 16, you get overlap. Should you switch? You can if you want. My inclination would be to shoot the rest of the roll that way. Where the overlap is, you will get some strips of double exposure on either side of the image.
