Good for you. catholic churches are no good.

@taimoc Ok, so the Catholics are the original denomination (or maybe the Orthodox Christians are) but that still doesn't give them the right to cover up the molestation of children. I'm glad Ireland closed their Vatican embassy.

@nikkiejames6 no, but you can get a fuck-off with your religeous nonsense.

Hmm. Could protestants out there stop attacking other religions? Did Jesus tell you to attack others who do good to God and the world in different manners? Didnt Jesus say happy are the peacemakers? Peace be with you.

@lslewis So true. The archaic term catholic meant universal before it was used in reference to the Holy Apostolic Roman Catholic Church....I get that. However, I would point out that the Roman Catholic Church is not a denomination but that all other Christian churches are denominations or off shoots of the Roman Catholic Church. + En nomine Patri et Fili et Spiritui Sancte, Amen.

@taimoc The word "catholic" originally means universal, but the Roman Catholic Church is a completely separate domination of its own. Hence, why Martin Luther broke away from it, starting the Protestant church. But at the beginning, the church was meant to be universal with one doctrine and everyone with the same mind, that is the mind of Christ. Unfortunately, it's not like that...

catho-lick my balls
I don't mind the hour and fifteen minute Sunday Mass. I really love it actually. I even love the Great Easter Vigil which can take up to 3 hours or more. I love to praise his name and works (Narrabo Opera Domini)....and let's face it Latin is super cool. Catholic means "Universal" and I really love being a member of the true Church of Jesus Christ. It's a love with out end.... Amen.

1) Catholics believe in Apostolic Authority. All Bishops can be traced back to the original Twelve Apostles.
2) We believe that Peter had a special authority among the other Apostles, and that authority is passed to Peter's successors who are the Popes.
3) Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Jesus the Eucharist (the bread and the wine really become the Body and Blood).
4) Catholics believe that all Christians need to be Baptized with water.
