I remember me and all my Marine Corps brothers in our barracks back in 1980 at Camp Lejuene NC all kicking back and this jam blaring on the boombox. Seems like yesterday and we were all together and here it is almost 30 years later and I wonder how everything is with them all. We would never be together like that again.Little slices of one's life that go bye so fast.

it seems to me the spirit of the 70s didnt actually go away from society until sometime in the mid to late 80s. you still had lawn parties where a couple dozen teenagers were crashed out over a keg or two and smoke wafted freely under bleachers at the game and the cars were still around lookin sharp. if somebody lit a doobie up under the bleachers today somebody would call the cops from the cell phone and scream child endangerment! what happened? how can we get it back? where did we go?

@LongviewTxHorn I know what you mean. Im now 56. this music is like finding a time capsule, or a portal that takes you back in time. When I listen to this music, I can see my old friends i knew at the time and all the old feelins come up also.

@LongviewTxHorn - i agree completely! I love youtube and all the great music from my past, same era as yours, and the richness it adds to my memories of hanging with friends down in houston, well and all the stuff that went along with growing up in the 70's lol.

I wish they still made music like this...
Man, I love YouTube & the people who post this music from my past.
I had this album on 8-track cassette, 7th grade, 1972, 13 years old, living in New Orleans. I'd leave it playing in the 8-track player when I'd go to sleep at night and it would play all night. But, listening to this music again makes me happy but sad at the same time as I'm now 51.
Well, I think I search up Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon for another trip down memory lane.
