Oil 150 Celebration- Bradford Pa. 8/22/2009

Oil 150 Celebration was held on Aug 22nd 2009 in Bradford Pa. Besides a parade of oil producing equipment, an old fashioned well was drilled, an old style derrick was built over it and it was "blown" the old fashioned way. With explosives down the hole, rather than "fracking" it with compressed air and fluids. It was quite the public spectacle!

The men eventually walked off the scene and it was a LONG wait between that, and the actual well shoot. I edited out about 15 minutes of no action!

Thank you. As you probably noticed, this was taken on a tripod from quite a long distance away. When the camera pulls back you can get an idea how far away I was. And of course there are power lines in the view.

Thank God (and Fuji) I had a ten power optical zoom!

Thanks for sharing and what a great tape and event.....but what happened to the two guys in the video between frames 2:42 and 2:43? Looks like they just disappeared by some "magic" spell....did you pause the camera?.
