When I started wearing lots or black my mother thought i was emo and going to kill myself... It was sad, but now she excepts that I am an individual and I'm not going to be like everyone else. I don't conform, its my best attribute! ^.^

My mother was origionaly against me being a goth. she still is to a certain extent. so far howeve though ive had people confuse gothic with emo and satanist. i mean what people??? so what i wear black like dark music prefer a cool,dark misty night to bright sunny day and like to go for walks through graveyards it dosnt make me evil or an emo-i can still be fun and i actualy worship chaos. got to go now-lesson soon.

@Kanungayok I find metal and goth unseparable in a sense that; both deal with emotions,transforming what u carry inside,and if you`ve got the musicskills it takes+the fine-tuned hart...it will work,`cos it`s genuine...and thats what Art is about. Sharing what noone sees inside,giving from yourself . Quite a brave thing 2 do. Metal was taboo in my schooldays,so we got well known with the sad moments of rejection,isolation etc, so personally I love both genres

I hate the way people seems to think all Gothic people are those weird people. I love goth and love rainy days, the way those raindrops hit your window and slide down like the tears of heaven. And the sky before a thunderstorm. Gives me a feeling of a bird trapped in an unbreakable and an inescapable cage. Agree?

I may not be goth, in all honesty I'm a metal head, make it loud and make it angry and I love it. But one cannot go without hearing the beauty in this, the tales that one can dream as they listen to the music.
