Am I the only one who thinks a bike can be thought of almost like a friend? Surely not

  • I constantly say my bike has a mind of his own. And yes, it is a he. he has good and bad days. It loves 40mph, it loves country lanes in the valleys and is quite partial of town driving. But some days- It hates me, and wants me to come off at every slice of mud on the road. It is my steel horse but always wants to be riding in sludge!

  • @Blurredman Hahah that's exactly what I was talking about. Mine is a bloke as well, join the club :D

  • Agree wholeheartedly!

I love my bikes and feel happy to see them, let alone ride them.

They are very much like friends. I miss the ones I used to have and feel guilty when I can't look after one of my babies properly. They look after me so I should be able to return the favour.

I think they're a physical extension of that part of our personalities that we get into discussions with when we think no one is listening or watching. :)

  • @peeteey Thats a cool way of looking at it man

  • A bike is much like shagging a female co-worker...

Mount her before work, ignore her while your at work, ride her silly to relieve the frustrations of the day, and lock her in a cold dark garage at night chained up... just me?
