Yeah, and if Judaism has much more to do with ethnicity than religion/dogma, then why are they always obligated in following countless customs, shunning anyone or anything interfaith, accusing Messianic Jews for not being Jew enough, and stuff like that? Those are not true with reform and reconstructionist Jews. But it seems rampant with conservative and orthodox ones. But I still feel awful for all the discrimination and persecution that they have went through by anti-Semites.

@DarkKunai99 Erm. Jewish traditions in America differ greatly from those in the UK or those in Yemen (yes, Yemen has a lot of Jews). Ethnicity? Maybe. You can say American Jews share some culture and tradition. But that doesn't mean its a genetic race of people, like African, Asian, Arab, Indo-European..etc

Muslims are not limited to Arabs, genetically.

Jews are not limited to a certain race either. Its just that Jewish people don't necessarily have a unifying race, so they call 'Jew' a race.

Christians have to make a spiritual rebirth by accepting Jesus as Messiah and also accepting Jesus' mother Mary, the Levite Woman, as Mother. By this way , God sees only by the Faith in the mind, that the person is a spiritual Jew . The Christian cannot pass along this salvation to their child. Each must come to have a mind of Faith to believe in entering a new birth , in the Body of Jesus ,being born of a Jewish Mother, Mary. Then by the Spirit , that person becomes an Israelite in Faith

If there were no biological Jews in the world and someone started Judaism up again, I believe it takes three generations for the God of Abraham ,Isaac, and Jacob to elevate a group of people in the Law of Moses so that God consecrates the flesh of these new people to adoption into the Law by a thorough witness and then a Jewess is declared, and then God has to actively be involved in her conception to open the womb and bear back into the world an actual Biblical Jew. I enter these opinions not as a Jew, for I am Catholic, but I believe I understand the Law of Moses that God Himself has to accept the woman as a Jewess and then open the womb, for the First Born Son "Yeshua Ha Ben" Such that no man who is a proselyte or convert is ever a Jew , God must adjudicate the woman and the Rabbis judge by generational observations of the Traditional Life of such people, and then that is how a Jew is conceived, and no Proselyte or Convert is ever a Jew.

A Jewish convert is never a Jew, he is Gentile. He can marry a Jewess, that a Rabbi authorizes that the woman being of good character of many generations of the Jewish Culture and Life, that the Rabbi says the woman is a Jewess. then the convert may marry the woman having children who are born Jewish. So if the convert to Judaism marries a non Jewish Woman by the Rabbi's opinions, then the children are not Jewish. It takes generations of the Tradition by the Rabbis to judge the woman a Jewess.
