This silent video by Christin Turner documents her project "GPS Animated Geoglyph". We are not sure, but it may be the world's first virtual animated geoglyph where the animation animated the animator. Christin walked most of the frames. Each is about one kilometer from head to toe, representing 7-8K to walk its outline. The walking was assisted by Brett Stalbaum (he being myself, who also did the GPS/IT work, walked frame 2), and Heather Clark. (The last frame that Christin hiked with Heather was a dangerous mission in the black of night before moonrise...) This work was done in the vicinity of the University of California White Mountain Research Station. (www.wmrs.edu) The project was part of my ICAM130/VIS149 course, Spring 2K7, at UCSD.
