Pictures of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Agent Jaime Zapata fill his family's home in Brownsville.

In the home, his memory is alive.

His mom feared authorities forgot his murder.

That is until news Julian Zapata Espinosa was brought from Mexico to the United States to face charges in Zapata's death.

"I'm glad," said Mary Zapata, Jaime Zapata's mom. "My son has been dead for 10 months, and nothing has been going on that we have heard lately, and I'm thinking 'Have they forgotten about my son?'""

Zetas killed Mary Zapata's son, ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata, February 15, 2011 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

So far, authorities arrested at least 15 people in connection.

Mary Zapata demands all involved be held responsible.

"I mean from the people who allowed the weapons to go," said Zapata. "I understand that there are some weapons from the Dallas area that are linked to his death. I want those people to face the consequences too."

Zapata said a dream revealed her son's desire for justice.

"I felt him, and I saw him, and he pointed to his lips, and he said 'Mom, I cannot speak so you must speak for me,'" said Zapata.

Mary Zapata's voice is one of questions.

She wants to know why her son was put unarmed in such a dangerous place.

She said she's told it was to pick up equipment.

"Why couldn't it have been shipped or flown to Mexico City?" asked Zapata. "What was so important that he had to expose his life?"

Zapata wants U.S. authorities exposed.

She said she wants to know who sent her son to his death in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Julian Zapata Espinosa was also charged for the attempted murder of ICE Special Agent Victor Avila.

Avila and Jaime Zapata were together in Mexico when Zetas attacked them.

Espinosa has no bond.

His next hearing is in January.
