Bosnia genocide victims buried

Families mourn 465 identified remains of Srebrenica massacre.

On the 12th anniversary of Europe's worst genocide since World War Two, 30,000 people gather in Potocari, Bosnia to mourn Muslim civilians murdered by Serb forces.

On July 11, 1995 Serb troops led by General Radko Mladic brutally overran the town of Srebrenica, Bosnia. The Muslim enclave had been under United Nations protection. But about 450 Dutch troops stood by helplessly as the Serbs rounded up the town's men and boys. In a few days, about 8000 were executed, their bodies shovelled into unmarked graves. Forensic scientists using DNA evidence have since identified more than 2000 remains. Today another 465 coffins, draped in Muslim green, were laid to rest in a memorial service near the massacre site. The emotional ceremony was captured on video by APTN. As part of The Real News Beta we will be experimenting with different news formats.

@dragszes i called them animals didnt u read my last comment.....but wat i meant was when serbs wer thier famileis....but massacring muslims and had the intention to wipe them out its understandble that some bosnians might have attacked serb civilians..its not right thing to do but perhaps they were blinded by anger and losing their famileis.....but wat serbs did was pre-planned and state sponsored with no reason behind it but hatred for others religion

thank God that documentaries are being made that show the truth.one great documentary by a norwegian is called "Srebrenica - Izdani grad (A town betrayed" which shows muslim commanders admitting it was all set up by izetbegovic and the states.
