Cuba is a fascinating paradox of survival.A truly beautiful country....I can't wait to go back and now with small businesses being allowed, Cuban diaspora money will play a huge role in redeveloping our island....and a second home to those who love Cuba.
~I say keep the embargo, now the Cubans are open for business, the Americans have missed out and dozens of resorts have been built,providing jobs.Casas partiulares abound and a taste of Cuban life. AHHHH !!!

Hey, so I'm 17 and I'm going to Cuba in 19 days with my vocal class. I see you went around the same time I'm going (Different years of course, haha) and I was wondering.. How hot does it get there? I'm from Canada so I want to be able to dress appropriately, haha. Thanks!

@CaheeraLive I'm from Canada too, although not a cold part :) This time of year you're looking at around 30C. The first day we got there last year it was 35C but went down to the low 30's after that. Just check out cubaweather dot [org] for recent weather. Have a good trip!

@DualofChaos I can't wait to go back! Hopefully in the Spring. I'd like to stay in a different region each time. Last time it was in the touristy area of Varadero. Hopefully next time it'll be right in Havana, then the Pinar del Rio region, then maybe Santiago de Cuba, Trinidad, etc.. so many beautiful places in that country.
