SV Race practive at the ledges

Dad and I doing a practice lap around Nelson Ledges last year. (Practice, our knees aren't on the ground for a reason :-P) I'm first, dad's second.

2:52 wtf is that cone doing there?  People get killed from stuff like that. Like the corner worker who went out to get something off the track and got creamed at barber recently. Both dead.

The cone was announced during the riders meeting, because of a dangerous crack in the asphalt. It wasn't sudden, everybody knew about it and it was on a straight section of track.

Wow! Terrible poster and terrible lines ... the guy in the first edit ... sheesh that bike is too low for that slow of a speed ... On the 2nd part, that guy takes the cake for what you should NOT do ... racing is fun but poor poster and pushing that bike down so far when you dont have too. The idea is not to lean the bike over far if you dont have to. Proper poster is defined as keeping the bike as upright as possible. Wow, so glad I dont race in the B class anymore!

That being said, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Posture is a personal choice, and I'm pretty sure Ben Spies' nickname "Elbows" isn't because his bike is upright, it's because his elbows are dragging on the ground. Go get out on a track in a decade when you turn 18 and figure it out for yourself.

Sure thing. Posture is a personal choice. So is losing and being slow. You cannot escape physics. And with the posture I see in this video, these guys are losing precious seconds and not able to fully utilize their bike's potential.

And yes, the goal is to keep the bike as upright as possible THUS allowing the maximum turn. I understand that when you turn, the bike tips to it's side. That is expected, but by putting yourself in a postion that allows for that, you can turn even faster.
