I had the incredible good fortune to sail on the Memphis when she was cruising between Aswan and Luxor. She was totaly different from any other boat on the river. Her siren sounded like some form of air raid warning. When she passed the more modern boats they had to sound their klaxons/sirens first in defference to the old lady. Golden memories of a real Nile cruiser.
