If you dont feel like exploiting the game (and are pretty far into the game) you can go to black reach, inside black reach there are "Geode" veins, these veins give you 3-5 greater-grand souls gems.

to farm souls to fill soul gems is to dual wield the blade of woe (legendary) and my Soul Bane Dagger (legendary)* and rambo on trolls.
*a glass dagger with fiery soul trap enchantment

@StonerFlex Look it up on youtube. There's an invisible chest in Dawnstar which contains all of the inventory of the caravan that's usually outside the city. This includes 750 gold, a variety of soul gems (full and empty), as well as enchanted gear. It replenishes every 48 hours. I shit you not.
