Finally, a decent ride on the KATANA now that it's back! This video goes through Lyttelton and up the hill towards Sumner, tho I don't make it, the first half of the hill is so much fun I turn around and go back for more!

I did notice a noise in the gearbox I hadn't heard before ... maybe it's always been there and it's just because I haven't ridden it in a while.

Anyhoo, enjoy!

  • you drive very slow!!!!

  • @vikingo4747 Absolutely! I plan on living to be a very healthy old man!

  • You're driving on the wrong side of the road...\

  • @TheCtrumbo So was everybody else! I was just going with the flow ... :D

  • @peeteey lol ride on brother. Nice country side.

  • @TheCtrumbo Cheers man, will do!

Not bad scenery for just outside my front door huh?

It's a bummer but this road is now closed because of the quakes. This section has all slipped and is unlikely to reopen. Such a shame, it was a fun bit of road ...

  • I think it a great video. I have just started using a Contour camera on my cruiser. Not a HD which is a shame. I have posted six clips of the local roads on Y ou tube with dubbed music. Have been told I might be infringing copyrights etc, but to date they are still posted.

I want to get a HD camera to get clearer pictures but will have to wait a couple of months.

  • @JacekGrandV8 Ha Ha! Cześć Jacek! It does doesn't it? It's a good example of why having a really wide angle lens is a good idea for filming motorsports!

I'm not a fast rider at all and for most of this video I was cruising about 55-60kph but it got close to 100 going up the hill. Doesn't really look like it though, does it? :)

With the Gopro HD I have now it looks much better and you get a better feeling of speed. I have some recent videos on this bike that I'm still editing ... I love it!

  • What did you use to record this? Looks like slow-mo;)

  • @peeteey Yeah haha :)
