A visit to Marechiaro a small fishing port on the coast of Posillipo a district of the beautiful City of Naples. Pete & Tony get the Mergellina funicular to the top of the hill and meet Francesco with his car. Our plan is to visit the Stadio San Paolo to see Napoli play Lazio. But we use the opportunity to investigate the culture of the Neapolitan people with a visit to a famous landmark, Marechiaro. Just about every famous Italian song you can think of emanates from Napoli. Marechiare is my favourite. You may have heard the 3 tenors sing it. In my opinion they murder it. They can never capture the emotion that a Neapolitan can bring to this song.......it is after all in the genes of the Neapolitans to display their emotions.
