The TESNIC wind turbine is a very efficient vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) for urban areas based on the same principles as the Tesla turbine. For more info visit us at www.tesnic.com

  • The idea to redirect airflow with external blades is used in a few existing designs- I am guessing the patented bit is the internal turbine itself, am I right?

  • Why "guessing"? Go see for yourself, the PCT patents are public on wipo website.

  • I am wondering if this technology can be applied to electric vehicles. What if a turbine could be placed horizontally behind a car's grill where the radiator used to sit? It will then start recharging the battery once the car starts moving making plugging-in less frequent.

  • It is one venue on our plans to explore.

  • This is just fantastic... they even look like chimney pots so would fit on the roof of old houses without standing out at all (if they were a different colour or whatever) What a brilliant idea!

Can it be scaled up to the size of an oil rig & sited out at sea in massive arrays?

  • The plan is to start with small size turbines, but the scale up is not an issue.

To your point, it will be easier to manufacture, install and maintain an offshore MW size Tesnic turbine than a classic HAWT.

  • tesla is the most influential scientist to ever live in my opinion... many ppl are completely unaware of the impact hes had and STILL has on our modern world

  • Overall, I'm very impressed by this design. Well done! Please get this out to people in as affordable way as possible... the world needs it! Thank you for your service helping to make the world a better place.

    Peace,

  • @littlelogcabins way to go on an idea. it is interesting to see how your project evolves as wind generators and batteries become more hi-tech and efficient. good luck and more...power!

  • @c0smicbyte Kinda strange that you say that. I have a wind generator set up in the bed of my truck. I travel a lot in a day for work, enough to charge about 10 batteries. When I go home, I hook it up to the breaker and have free electricity....so to speak.

  • @c0smicbyte It would be more efficient to just redesign or cover the front grill to make the car more aerodynamic. The energy saved from the more aerodynamic shape would be greater than the energy gained by putting a generator where the radiator used to be.

  • @c0smicbyte Now how this could be beneficial is to put some smaller ones on a car that would pop up that would generate electricity when parked. Just like antenna's that pop up. It could use solar panels and between both of them I'm sure that would make plenty of free electricity saving tons of money.

  • @billyposter if you ever heard of how a telsa turbine works it works on this principle on the internal design of the wind turbine. Thats what makes this turbine so different and better.

  • @c0smicbyte that would cause an equal amount of drag so you woun't get any fuel improvement. Yes it would create energy but it would also require more energy to drive.

  • that overhanging lip on top has to go, as wind always comes at a downward angel to the ground. If you want the overhang put it 45 degrees to level to channel the wind .
