September 11, 2001 NYU Freshman Year - Part 1

Two weeks into our first semester at NYU, the towers were attacked. Here is what I experienced that day in 2001.

This was incredibly well done. My english teacher was a sophomore at NYU that year, and finds it hard to talk about (understandably, of course) but I've never really seen something this specific. I would like to attend NYU in the fall of 2013, and seeing work like this (though it's depressing) is inspiring.

I just watched it completely for the first time in a long time because of new comments this fall from people like you. And to think, you must have been 6 when this happened. I've been trying to avoid all of the 9/11 tributes and videos because the media knows how to overflow with it, but your clip came up in my recommendation page and for some reason I clicked it......and I'm glad I did.

To see the raw aftermath on NYC streets, it's something I haven't seen in the 10 years since it happened. Very excellent footage!! :)

BTW...the reporter you mentioned, I think her name is Ashley Banfield with MSNBC. I remember her because I was watching her when Building 7 fell.

wow. pretty amazing footage. I can't imagine what that would be like
