Great, great episode. I LOVED the little Abbey prank; I was like, "what the hell" at the time, but rewatching it I totally get it, and think it's brilliant.

I'd vote for Governor Ritchie if this was real.

The first questioner is Lawrence O'Donnell, a RL political pundit and West Wing producer. He played Bartlet's father in a flashback in an earlier episode. The Ritchie character was played by James Brolin, who played Ronald Reagan in a TV movie. His son, Josh Brolin, played George W. Bush in the movie "W".

Too little government intervention is just as dangerous as too much.

Yes, we should allow corporations to run the health care system, because they have such wonderful records on human rights, and environmental issues, and workers rights...

Oh. Wait.

Yes. Libertarians don't understand the Constitution. Frankly, I would go so far as to say the Libertarian movement is AS dangerous to the United States, as the NDASP was to Germany.

I'd also so far as to say, based on your post, you really have no idea what Government is. And I suggest PoliSci 101.

Also, you would do well to look up the difference between a declared war, and military action. it seems you're ignorant of the contrasts of these.

It's really not that difficult at all. Declared war is a formal declaration of war from one country to another. A military action is the use of force with no formal declaration of war.

I would love for you to tell me what libertarians are missing. What we have today is the taking of freedoms from one group of people to give to another. What am I missing? Based on your perceived knowledge of government, pointing out these powers in the Constitution should be a breeze.

Actually, it's far more complicated than you seem to realize. A declared war, by an act of congress, brings about a different state of existence for the ENTIRE country. Powers are strengthen, and the focus of the nation at large becomes the War".

You calim freedoms are being taken from a group, and given to another. I think you're very deluded in this regard, so why you don't you point to specific examples of this.

"Most of them are idiots, but they do have a following which believes in the things they say". Thank you for making my point. People are only listening to those who are saying what they want to hear. There's no openness to other's opinions. And arguing is not debating. Nothing comes from arguing, it's emotionally based. Debate is intellectually based. As for Charlie Rose, he challenges every one he interviews no matter their position, so his "point of view" is not integral to the interview.
