(NOW WITH DOWNLOAD LINKS!)

This is a cover/remake of the awesome One Must Fall 2097 title theme by me on my beloved Korg Electribe MX, which i got almost a week ago.

The sound is a little flatter than the original i think, but i didn't intend for it to sound exactly like the original, so i'm still pleased about how it turned out.

I made a few mistakes when recording, but i didn't feel like doing it all over again, so i might remake this video sometime in the future (with better cables to record the audio, too)

Slightly improved, 256kBit/s Stereo mp3:

  • That's fucking amazing man, I loved the game and still do, wish there was a remake of it. Not the shitty 3D sequel, but like an HD remake just like how there's an HD remake of Street Fighter 2 coming out.

Is this available for download? :)

  • Always fun to see another OMF fan like my video :)

I agree with you on the remake part, but i think a true sequel could be pretty awesome as well, as long as they don't mess anything up ;)

Regarding the download... As of now i do not have it for upload, mostly because i don't have anywhere to host it. Hopefully in the future, though ^^

  • Can't you just upload on Rapidshare or any of those free uploaders?

  • Download links are now in the video description, at your convenience ;)

  • make a hardstyle mix!

  • I'll give it a shot, but i can't promise anything ;)

  • The game had such atmosphere to it that I fail to recall if I have played any other game like this. The robots actually felt as if they were huge, every fighter had an interesting story and I vividly remember reading the README file on the DOS in my 486 box:

"The door opens. The crowd cheers. The game begins."

    Great vid, great Korg

  • hey man, this is pretty good for just one dude programming the whole thing

  • Haha, 7500 visningar! Du är fan mannen

  • I like the mellow sound you gave the tune, makes it even more nostalgic. I'm not familiar with the Electribe, does it trigger some Instrument-Tracks in your host sequencer or is it just for control in general (volume, effect and the likes), or even combines those things ? Another OMF 2097 fan (and musician) here ;).

  • I have an OMF Facebook group; I would be honoured if individuals like yourselves who appreciated the game would join :)

  • anyone notice his 'piano black' psp model sitting on top his synthesizer unit ?

and bro that does look like the hardest instrument to play... presses 3-4 buttons a minute, intence :).

nowhere near the original but its still awesome in its own right that you did this cover.

2:18 is fukken sickkk well great to see you have taste in games at least :p

  • OMG what a hard instrument......:P

  • @StevenMcFlyJr Kenny *Chou, lol :P

  • Well done sir!

  • fastastique!

still don't beat the master (Kenny Shou) though. but kudos!

  • well give him credit for making his own version, I to prefer the Original

  • Agreed !
