Sept 16th - Israeli gunboats injure Italian HR worker

GAZA STRIP 16th of September 2008 - An Italian human rights worker with the Free Gaza Movement and International Solidarity Movement was injured today by the Israeli navy while monitoring human rights abuses against Palestinian fishermen off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

Vittorio Arrigoni was hit by flying glass when the Israeli navy used a
high-power water cannon against the unarmed boats. The water canon smashed
the glass surrounding the steering section of the boat, with shards
lacerating Arrigoni's back. He was taken to hospital immediately upon
reaching shore, requiring 10 stitches.

'palestine' is no state. it is disputed territory. israel is not beaking international law. and frankly if you were an israeli, under siege and constant rocket and suicide attacks, you'd have a very different idea about 'limits'. israel has not colonized gaza. israel in fact withdrew from gaza in 2005, only to be immediately attacked by hamas, who saw this as a sign of weakness. it is the arabs who want to colonize israel, you got it all wrong. to them all of israel is 'occupied territory'.

Any country has that right, but there are bounds and imits. Gaza has the right to do anything to prevent Israel from attacking it or colonizing it.
