Thanks for the video, very nice.

Metal hammer would pop that in one maybe two shots.

@psw003 Haha. I guarantee most local pawn shops will have a punch, they basically give them away with any other purchase, and won't be more than a dollar by themselves. Or you could save your dollar and just be satisfied with the backstrap the previous owner decided to put on there.

Great video...one thing though: I would recommend removing the slide from the frame before changing the backstrap on the frame. Even though Springfield's manual doesn't say to do this either and you've demonstrated how easy it is...better safe than sorry.

I wonder if I could use the hole punch plastic tool that came with my Gen 4 Glock 22??? Guess I'll find out when I get my XDM 45 next week...can't wait!!!!!!!

@maxs350z Thanks for proving my point, i paid $700 for a gun. the $3 punch should be included or it should be designed better.... I actually only paid $500 but the punch still should be included.

I love how this guy pulls out the yellow pages and there happens to be lawyers on the back of the book. Funny thing is most lawyers i know are anti gun or democrat. They are the same people that want to take our gun privelages away...lol

@psw003 lol quit your complaining. once you put it on you dont have to take it back off. its a $3-5 dollar punch. you buy a $700 gun and you complain about a tool come on guy.
i got to goto a store and buy a damn tool just to change this damn thing? #)%U#()%(# that is really annoyying, backstrap on M&P can be changed with your bare hands

what if there was no pin in my gun to begin with

@kidwithbrownhair First do you have an XDM and not an XD? If you have an XDM and there is no pin the back piece should just fall off easily so I don't see how that is possible.
