@BOOLsheet Portnoy also wanted to go on brief hiatus. Look what the rest of the band thought of that. lol. All I'm saying is, he still has a decent voice, he honestly gets a lot of shit for being the least talented, (he gets ringo'ed) but in all honesty, he has demonstrated in every one of the albums following FII that his voice is still very good.

@IReallyAmIronMan i've played images probably more than any other record i own. i know what he sounds like for his entire career with dt. yeah he sounded good on images, and that was a long ass time ago. his voice right has anything but power. he sounds old, tired and breathy on every song. you realize that even portnoy wanted to kick him out because of his shitty performances right?

@BOOLsheet Labrie is fucking amazing, Listen to Images and Words and tell me those vocals don't blow your mind. Post release of Awake era, he got food poisoning, and was told he would never sing again. Lucky, that was wrong, but his voice has had a trail of recovery. Furthermore, Dominici himself says that his voice didn't have the power Dream Theater needed.
