Along The Jordan River

Along the Jordan river
there's a group of walking man.
I cannot see their faces
and I cannot hear their names.
But from back in ancient times
many prophets have told of them
and I know I will go and see.


Along the Jordan river
there's a fascinating Man.
Now I can look at his eyes
and Jesus is His name.
He's telling of His Father,
really you cannot understand,
and I know I must stay and see.


Deep inside a fire burns my soul
warms my heart
while a new awareness grows,
without Him I can't understand
the things anymore,
deep inside I know He is the Lord.


Along the streets of my city
I met a group of working men.
I've always know their faces
and I surely know their names,
but something new has happened
in their hearts and in their eyes
and I know I must stay and see.

Along the paths of my life
lots of questions come and go
sometimes they made me cry
'cause I didn't know who to ask "why?"
but now I met the Lord of life,
He lives strongly in these men,
and I know I must stay and sing.

Lungo il fiume Giordano c'è un gruppo di persone che cammina. Non riesco a vedere i loro volti e non sento i loro nomi. Ma fin dai tempi antichi molti profeti hanno parlato di loro e io so che andrò a vedere./ Lungo il fiume Giordano c'è un Uomo affascinante. Ora posso guardarlo negli occhi e Gesù è il suo nome. Racconta di suo Padre, davvero non si riesce a capire, e io so che devo restare e vedere. / Dentro, in fondo, un fuoco brucia la mia anima, scalda il mio cuore mentre una nuova consapevolezza cresce. Senza di Lui non riesco più a capire le cose, dentro, in fondo, so che Lui è il Signore./ Lungo le strade della mia città ho incontrato un gruppo di persone che lavora, conosco le loro facce da sempre e so per certo i loro nomi, ma qualcosa di nuovo è accaduto nei loro cuori e nei loro occhi e io so che devo restare e vedere./ Lungo i sentieri della mia vita molte domande vanno e vengono, a volte mi hanno fatto piangere perchè non sapevo a chi chiedere "Perchè?", ma ora ho incontrato il Signore della vita, Lui vive fortemente in questi uomini, e io so che devo restare e cantare.
