@yammayammaman I'm 67 yrs old . Lived all my life for jazz man. It's just a question of taste. Technically their both O.k.
I like Acker's performance better. So What ?

Well, maybe Mr. Acker Bilk ( & Paramount Jazzband) played the clarinetsolo of Perdido Street Blues as well as Johnny. No, not maybe ... I'm sure !

One of the very best tunes by Johnny and the others. Does anybody know a musician in the world who could play the clarinet solo like Johnny did? In my young years I tried like many others; but as far as I know, nobody ever succeeded. Also Kid Ory did a great job. I´m thankfull I could take part in this great music!
