  • @cicirunner: It is a Contour headcam which you can buy in several stores online. It pressed a bit on the head, but is not bad to run with. Basically there are two alternatives which give you very good video quality ; this one and the GoPro headcam. Both should give you good results.

  • @Rineva: Yes, a Contour camera. I attach it using two buffs - one buff which the camera is attached to, and another one above the camera which stabilizes (I think that's the one which removes the wobbling). And I just upload the original video to YouTube - have not worked with converting:) Ffmpeg is the preferred tool for conversion though.

  • For the other races in the forest we have what you want - see here news.worldofo.com/2011/08/20/woc-middle-final-headcam-video-gps/

  • @orienteeringrunner: GPS signal for the sprint final was so bad that we couldn't do.

  • 2 Questions: Where did you get this running head cam and was it awkward to run with?

  • Would I be right in guess that that's a Contour head camera? I'd be curious to know what kind of head attachment set-up you're using, because the video seems much more stable than I have ever been able to achieve. I get a ton of horizontal wobble. Also, is there a particular program/format you've found is most effective to convert the .mov videos to?

  • god but can u show the map at fx. right side so we can follow the run and se the course

  • map at live.woc2011.fr/index.php?id=sprint-results

  • Excellent, I love how some cultures embrace activities and no clowns on cycles getting in the way lol ;-)

  • fantastic video, well done.

    What camera did you use?

did you also use some image stabilisation software?
