You need to re read my comment. I never claimed nor mis understand the Hangeul being entirely of Gojoseon. I specific quoted what King Sejong said of the first 26 introduced into the system, and yes I know it is based on the sounds produced, and ofcourse the way people spoke back then and the way Hangeul were written if pronounced now, sounds alot different and difficult for a novice to understand. You just wasted a comment.

yes, Sejong (and even Choe Man-ri) did say that, but don't misunderstand;
Hangeul was not Gojoseon's alphabet waaaaaaaaaaay back then. He was aware that some form of alphabet existed before his invention, but through the years of hanja being heavily favored by the literati, it became forgotten.
Sejong based Hangeul on how we produce sounds, and basing it off from the throat, lips, mouth, and such...

All .... just because they envy Korean 'HANGUL'...

@workfasts If so, whose history, do you think, the Baekje belongs to?
Baekje is part of Korea like Shilla and Koguryo geographically and historically.
Stop lying asto other ppl's history. It's disgusting.
The truth is Baekje ppl's decendants are still living here in Korea, some Baekje ppl went to Japan N became a royal family. that means Japanese royal family were mixed up with Korean Baekje, but that doesn't mean all Japan belongs to Korea. Japan is Japan, Baekje is Korea.
have a nice day..

@HwarangKnights From what I heard the Yamato state at the centre of Japan existed before the Baekje and so the Kings of Japan did too.

Hangul is the most wonderful alphabet under Heaven. One day, I will adapt it to writing English so round eye people can write without retarded spelling conventions ^__^

Baekje is just some ancient Korean kingdom, same as Silla, and others. They did influence Wa (japan) greatly.

Workfasts- stop being ignorant
How do u just say fewthousand years of history is fake?
Major civilizations have existed even longer
What have u learned in history class?
It's just that immigrants like pilgrims come over to america, and kill people for land, and have history of only 300~400 years
Ancestors of people in America can be traced down further than just a few hundred tears

Baekjae is part of Korea
Just as new York is part of USA or France is part of EU
Japs are from mongol-Chinese area and some natives of the area
Some Koreans were sent to educate them as well as some Chinese
Korea has history of5000years
If someone said 6000 they are mistaken
God I hate the fucking general ignorance in America
What's interesting about the Japanese emperors is that they are from Korea, Baekje dynasty, which they still call Kudara, a Korean word for "great nation" or "mother country" (크다-->커다란/크다란-->큰나라-->크다라). The Yamato and the Soga clans, first two imperial lines of Japan, are descendants of Baekje.

When I studied Hangul's history few years ago, I've came across something really interesting. They said that the first 25-26 characters introduced was by Saejong himself, who've personally read all the books in the royal library. The interesting part is that Sejong said "the characters I show you guys are not made by my own, but it is the characters of the old Choson", and goes on to say "this is not something new". WOW!! So the charcters come from GO Choson era!! Amazing!
