These are some good basic tips on how to tie up a dry fly and dropper nymph set up for fly fishing. It is a great tool for fishing both a dry fly and a dropper at the same time. The dry fly acts as a strike indicator or "float" to hold your nymph or wet fly just under the surface. Log onto www.redsflyshop.com to learn more.

  • great info man......going to give it a go here in WV this weekend...

  • Glad you like it, I strongly recommend using Tungsten beads for droppers, it isn't so much they get deeper, the density just makes them look more natural because the dry fly won't "tow" it along as much. Good luck!

  • After you rig it up...and you move from a deep fast moving water to a slow moving shallow water...is there any way to adjust the dry fly or the nymph?
