1-) ALTTP is by far the best Zelda game ever released.I remember , it took me 1.5 year to complete it in 92.It introduced lots of new instruments and ideas to rpg gaming.

Even today for the most professional and fastest player it takes 3 hours to complete it.Over hundred hidden place and items.It also helped to increase the SNES sales a bit.Its a masterpiece , chosen the game of 92.Earned tons of awards at those limited magazine times.It is the reason why Zelda franchise is still going on!

I don't mean to be a jerk , but you said Link to the Past is the only game with a top down view besides the first one but Link's Awakening, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass (kinda), and Spirit Tracks (kinda) all have that view.
