You cannot spend your way out of bankruptcy! Borrow a bunch of money, max out your credit cards, far overextend your resources and try to spend your way back to solvency. Doesn't work.

By the time the stimulus passed the Congress, half of it was actually tax cuts and not actually stimulus money.

It created quite a bit of jobs, but not enough due it was half the size as what it was suppose to be.

@crikdawg - if you were making exactly the same during the bush years as in obama years then you should be paying less in obama's tenor. Most people don't really pay attention to what they're paying in taxes but I do. For instance I keep track each year of what my effective tax rate was. For instance I just sent in my 2010 tax return and my federal effective tax rate was 16.15%.

@crikdawg - he put way more than $0.59 cents per month back in your pocket since he took over and for 2011 there is a 2% drop in what they'll take out of your paycheck. I have no idea what you make so I can't tell how much you saved, but it's obvious that you don't have a clue what your actual taxes are year to year.
