as a Salute to the Troops.


Hip Hop Artist and Activist Sellassie released his first music video, "Come Home" as a Salute to the troops serving in the military today. Sellassie is a voice in the anti-war movement, however feels regardless of one's personal opinion on the war, fellow Americans should be in solidarity with the troops that are making the ultimate sacrifice for their beliefs. The ones that put themselves on the line to protect others at home.

The song "Come Home" was original written a few years back in response to troop surge in the Afghanistan war, and after researching, he felt it wasn't a winning battle. Currently unreleased, Sellassie was inspired to put "Come Home" out as a music video this Memorial Day Weekend. Sellassie is an alternative in today's hip hop, making music with a message, to inspire and even "disturb to increase the peace."
