Pikmin 2 - Final Boss (Spoilers)

2ND NOTE: If you want to know what cave this is, this is the Dream Den. It is the final cave of the game, located deep in the Wistful Wilds. You must pay off the 10,000 Pokos debt before this area will be accessible.

NOTE: I've been seeing it mentioned a bit lately so I'll just say it clearly here. This video is immensely abridged and it took me personally an hour or longer to beat him.

This was my first time going up against the Titan Dweevil, so I didn't do as well as I would've preferred, but, figuring since this was my last cave to complete, I just went all out with the sprays.

The biggest problem I had, and the cause of death for practically half of my army, was that bloody hydro pump which found a way to hit the Pikmin all the way behind the geyser. Does its range know no bounds?

Captains can't be hurt so even if olimar has less health you should've been him it's a lot more epic that way

@Armidillodude I had never actually thought about this - that the Titan Dweevil cannot harm the two Captains. Had I known back then, I would've played as Olimar.

Yeah, with ALL final bosses (I've yet to see an exception) the first time is impossible, but every try afterwords is easy. Considering the circumstances, I think you did OK.

Once you get all the treasure off, he is laughable. Can he at least hurt you with that swipe attack? Or is he really that weak without his weapons?

@Airf0il He truly is completely incapable of killing pikmin once he's lost his armor. Deflowering them and shaking them off is all he can do.

i dont think this fight is actually possible. i spend 1 hour in a single fight with this guy and i targeted one weapon the whole fight, i must have hit the thing over 10,000 times and the weapon never dropped off. i could get like 10 -20 on there in between weapon uses. i saw the pikmin on there hitting it! maybe i just got the never win copy of the game. or is there some kinda order to what needs to come off first?

I lost like all 100 the first time and 90 the 2nd so I restarted and the 3rd time lost none.

lol... when I first battled this boss I literally had 20 pikmin apon arival... if those 2 purples hadn't survived... ffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...

The first time i fought this thing i lost like 90 pikmin..... no treasures, except for louie.... after that i battled him again for the treasures and i lost only 3 pikmin...

Weird. I lost 60 the first time I ever fought it, leaving me with 10 pikmin, luckily enough purples to get the treasures, and an hour long fight, then the second time, Im all worried, almost as worried as anticipating the waterwraith's appearance, and I only lose two pikmin in a five minute fight!

Took me an hour (from beginning of battle to end) to defeat this boss. No joke. It's because of the damn water attack. :(
