But we couldn't say that word or our mother would have washed out our mouth with Shaving Cream... Be nice and clean. Shave everyday and you'll always be keen. Gosh, remember that expression "Neato Keen!" I haven't thought about that expression in such a very long time! Gone but not forgotten!

Thank god for WLS. I lived in MI, and after sundown our station cut their power, so we thankfully had WLS to back us up. LONG LIVE THAT 50,000 WATT AM RADIO STATION!!!!

i have this 45. can't remember why, but it was a BIG deal when i was 5 years old. played it for my husband when we were dating 3 years ago & i felt STOOOPID. but my brother & i loved it when we were 5&7. we also loved the Mr. Jaws song & Junk Food Junkie, if that tells you anything!

I was out in the park. I was enjoying the sun for a bit. I looked down and was surprised to look down at my shoe, and find a huge load of ssshhhhaving cream.

@SingersLeader It was just strange to hear on TOP 40 radio along side Olivia newton-John's "Have YOu Ever Been Mellow", Minnie Rippleton's "Loving YOu" and whatever else it was battling against back in 1975.

Our teacher sung this for us on the bus today on the way to a field trip.... LOL!!!!
Love it!

@electronmusicjunkie I heard it on the 50,000-watt WLS-AM out of Chicago during the Top 40 days as well! ;-)

Great song that brings back memories! Thanks for posting a clear audio of it.
Can you (anyone) help me out, because I remember this song was also on an adult comedy album with other great songs and parodies?
The Pioneers (Oh, the pioneers have hairy ears, they pee through leather britches) Chesterfields (go to fire island and youll survey, the most exciting)
A Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin skit..
I cant remember the name of it nor can I locate it

The first I heard of this was on the Dr. Demento show in the 1970's. Could it be a compilation of his you're thinking of?

As bad as when it was released in 1975. Must be a remake as "when I was in France with the Army" is mentioned. Liked the "Girl from Chicago".

radudman says it was recorded in 1946 and yes some of the clicks and pops are from the original 78. Just like "The Girl from Chicago"
