Brazilian superstar Daniela Mercury will bring the rhythms of Bahia Carnival to Hollywood when she headlines the inaugural Brazil on the Beach, a three-day celebration of Brazilian music and sports March 20-22, free and open to the public, held along Hollywood Beach's popular Broadwalk. The concert will climax an exciting weekend of the 2nd Annual Pro Footvolley Tour Hollywood Beach Open. This exciting sport began on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and has spread worldwide, and combines elements of beach volleyball and soccer. Last year's event was won by Brazilian soccer legend Romario and his partner João Luis.

Daniela Mercury's concert is a chance for South Florida audiences to enjoy the kind of open air performance that the queen of Bahia carnival usually reserves for concerts at home in Brazil. "Instead of rhythm and blues, I make rhythm and happy," says Daniela.
