This video introduces the Neuro-Oncology Branch (NOB), a trans-institutional program of the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Neurological Disorder and Stroke of the NIH. The NOB constitutes a team of dedicated medical professionals and scientists working to uncover new discoveries underlying the genetics and biology of brain tumors and to translate those findings to the development of exciting and meaningful new treatments for patients afflicted with these tumors. Administration of these new treatments through clinical trials, optimal state of the art standard therapy and patient consultation are offered to patients throughout the United States free of charge through the coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to patient care in the NOB's Brain Tumor Clinic.
