Along with 3 other Legend of the Icepeople videos I've made.

This is my Fourth "The Legend of the Icepeople" video.

This is a part from the Book number: 34 and the Book it self is called (my Translation) "The woman by the sea".

This is a story within the story wich has always fascinated me, And I really can not count how many times I've read it.
It just sort of captures all of the elements these book series are all about.
Romance, excitement and fantasy.

I really went out of my way to cast the right actors for the main roles.

It was very convenient that my ideal Hafgrim did play with the very beautiful Sophia Myles in Tristan and Isolde.
Seeing that I've never liked James Franco, the guy who plays his friend is ever sooo dreamy and fits the role of the quiet and strong Hafgrim PERFECTLY

Lena Headey from "The Brothers Grimm" is my perfect Britte, her performance screams independence, head strong and fierce.. just like her character is supposed to be.

I know that Thidrek Sverd is supposed to be a bit more of a womanizer and Mark Strong in Tristan and Isolde isn't excactly that type but he does have that evil feel to him so I had to use him.
Natan was a delight because this character from "The Brothers Grimm" is just my favorite and this actor is Awesome !
For the role of Kirsten I cast Rosamund Pike.. she is just soooo unbelievably bautiful so it was an easy choice.

Thank you all for watching and I really hope you die hard fans will like this.

  • what was that ? can somebody explain me ?

  • this is a fan video for a book I read, I just wanted to make a film version of it. Using clips from various movies.

    Elva.

  • OMG it's so beautiful! Well 'The Women by the sea' is boring but I love this video! It's beautiful, sweet and music is awful! Great work (like always :P)

    Yyenes ;)

  • Thank you Yynes :)

Yes the general "The woman by the sea" is NOT such fun but I've always loved Hafgrim and Kajsa .. such a sweet love story and there are a lot of them in these books aren't there ? ;)

I was just wondering whether you really hated the music or did you love it ?

    because "Aweful" means " terrible " ...

Maybe you meant to say "Awesome" ?? ;)

(I'm hoping this is the case hihi) ...

Anyways I think it's your turn to make the next "Icepeople" video ;)

    Take care Yynes :)

  • beautiful ! Hello, even you don't know how well you made this movie! very cool movie ! At the beginning I thought that it was a real The Legend of ice people! Wound! Bravo ! Forgive what I wrote but I am not good at English too much and I am using the translator which won't also translate everything ! Wonderful Film and I hope that you will make the movie on the basis of some other volume as the abyss or the winter gusty weather . I am greeting warmly and I am waiting for the movies change!

  • Im sure it's not that easy to create story like this but it came out very good, with music in the background. Well done :)

I am actually reading part 34 now The Wargaby village story. First time i red the whole Saga in mid 90's about 13 years ago maybe, and still the expereinece of reading is as awesome asbefore or even stronger. Same emotions, tears, excitement.. Everyone who knows the Story will understand :)

P.S. My very personal no 1 for ever will be Tamlin and Vanja story...

  • ok , ty .

  • Another great one! You are so talented! I loved that you used a story within a story so that for once the film actually showed more than the book :D I can't wait for the next one, I'm hoping for my favourite, #5 :P
