for me its pure selfishness, this music is so personal and relatable i prefer to think im the only who ever hears it. while i wish him every success i dread him becoming mainstream. it would change the world he lives in and inevitably would change the songs he writes. but like i said, pure selfishness

My band has covered this, kind of an improvised version, at various open mic events. I kind of made up my own bass line for it, based on my sort-of Lemmy/Geezer Butler/Jack Bruce bass style, so it's sort of funny to finally hear the original version. It's a good song to 'get loud' as the end approaches, like Joe Cocker covering 'A Little Help From My Friends.' :)
