For ANYONE to state that 90% of tone (performance) is purely subjective and solely a factor of the OPERATOR and not the DEVICE is to say that ALL DEVICE CLASS members are equal. This is the same as saying that your best musicians prefer the cheapest deal since they can make shit sound like heaven and the non-musician doesn’t know any better.

(IAAM cont’d) We are specifically considering the PLAYER or OPERATOR of a device i.e. musical instrument, car, plane, sailboat, woodworker etc. as distinguished from an ATHLETE, be he an individual or on a team where performance IS the player and a ball, bat, racket or club is the device.

(IAAM cont’d) Maybe you need to ask why the demand for a "Gitchygoomee" is not equal to a Fender or a Yugo isn't as worthwhile as a Corvette, and with 40 years of maturity, Sadowsky, a guitar manufacturer (not the player) moves into the lead position because musicians like what they HEAR.

We interviewed Roger for our upcoming film project and he gave us an amazing interview too. We commented on how great he was and discovered that he was a broadcasting major in college. : )

wow, he is very well spoken. A lot of times guys who are really great at what they do are doddering speakers. (using a lot of Uh's ) but he speaks like a politician

Roger and his crew deserve every penny they earn for the instruments they build. I have yet to find all of the following in another brand of instrument.... tone, lightweight, playability, reliablility, cool looks, and especially no dead spots on the neck or sharp frets. Every detail right down to the control knobs are just awesome!

I had a Fender Custom Shop '64 NOS Jazz Bass. It was very expensive and supposedly Custom Shop is the very best Fender makes. Then I visited the Sadowsky shop in Brooklyn and played a few Sadowsky NYC jazz basses. THEY BLEW AWAY my Fender Custom Shop Jazz. I sold my Fender and ordered a new Sadowsky NYC Ultra Vinatge Jazz bass. Now I have THE BEST jazz bass out there! Fender can't hold a candle to Roger Sadowsky! He is the KING! And one hell of a nice guy too!
