if you open it from the top does that void your warranty? or is it only if you remove the sticker on the bottom?

square :[

Square, it's very easy to swap it out though.

Have you ever killed a PCB because you weren't grounded, Shinjn? What are your tips on keeping grounded short of buying a grounding strap or whatever.

does the joystick have square or octagon plate?
-
you can open it up and see whats rolling around but if its working its probably not a problem

hey shin, very nice video. i checked it out because a few days ago i dropped the TE stick down the stairs (cause im a clutz).
well i shit my pants, but i fully tested it again and everything works fine, but now when i pick up the stick and tilt it around, i can hear something rolling around in there, like maybe a bit of broken plasic or a screw..
should i be worried about this? :S
So this stick has points to solder on USB? Sweet.

Yup. They are labeled or easy identification.

Annoying lighting and Could have done with more fast-mo, but still enjoyable watch.

I do not have studio lighting and I don't intend on getting equipment to do so. So good ole tungsten house lighting for me. =D
I just make these for fun because I like to share information. More fast-mo means less talking. Less talking means less information. It wouldn't be much of a tech review if I just took it apart and put it back together.
Glad you enjoyed the video.

I'm not going to lie. I didn't even think about the less talking bit. I seem to remember sections of just watching you take out screws, but I'm not going to watch it all again just to call you out.
The main problem is the shadow of your head. If there is nothing you can change to get rid of the shadow, fine, but if you can rotate or maybe set up a desk lamp that would be killer.
(Maybe the shadow isn't that big of a deal, but it got to me)

Your critique is welcomed. I don't spend too much time on these videos. I just record a segment or two after work and just patch them all together. If I had better lighting, I'd definitely use it.
You might want to skip the next set of videos if you weren't fond of this set. lol.
