The "I'm going shopping!" Unused scene, Final Act

This is the cut scene from the Final Act of PGSM that shows Nephrite deciding to stay at Crown and happily scampering off to buy Ami a present, that is, before Princess Sailor Moon decides to destroy the Earth. Clip from the Act 45-49 DVD Omake.

Hiroyuki Matsumoto (the actor who played Nephrite) said that it was cut for time, but it would have been nice to give Nephrite one more scene in the Final Act and I know I was sitting at the edge of my seat wondering, "Is he gonna buy Ami those horns!? I wanna KNOW!!!!!!"

i know! there were quite a few things I wish they had wrapped up but didn't. SAD day. But i doubt they could have squished it into the Special act...so they should have cut more silly things out..oooh! now I'm gonna go watch it again. hm. Know any good Ne/Ami fanfics?

Here's some food for thought: In the manga it is stated that the Shitennou are the guardians of their respective four parts of the Earth; Nephrite's being the West ie North America....and where in all the world does Ami decide to study medicine...? The writers could have worked THAT

Since his powers are back, it would have been a better ending if he showed up in the final battle to help Mercury.... It wouldn't have changed the ending but it's better than him vanishing while mopping floors...
