Stop Motion False Poupée Chapter 1

False Poupée is a stop motion animated film about a young Asian woman's quest for self identity. False Poupée ("false doll") takes us upon a fantastical journey filled with emotions and creatures, reminiscent of the work by Hans Bellmer, Jan Svankmajer, and Swift's Gulliver's Travels. This film is a powerful allegory about shifting personas and self-imposed boundaries.

Beautifully done! I like the idea of detached strings yet some puppet strings are still attached. Nice sound trk. Definitely see Jan's influence here. Gives me some ideas of possibilities for next animation.

This is really good, reminds me of tool videos and also brothers quay, i'm making a stop motion film about a nightmare too, well i'm still building the puppets and set but it's not too far off.
