  • Don't forget the extra few seconds you wasted of your shitty life writing that comment. Wasted your time? You are obviously so retarded that you wouldn't know that Tom Waits is one of the greatest song writers ever and he is reading Charles Bukowski one of the best writers in the world. I think the animation is great but your feeble mind cant appreciate good art.

  • ha ha, hey thanks! But I wouldnt want to waste anyones time though either. poor girl. sorry sweetheart. You are a delicate flower.

  • Excellent animation! The visuals matched the Tom Waits song very well. Also, nice online name. Soul Coughing was an awesome band!

  • poor kid! the world is just not real for him D:

  • @agentnuzzy wow, thanks. I did this years ago. and one of my first projects using this kind of medium. I always figured it wasn't tom waits who wrote it, though i loved his reading of it, I never figured out who had penned it. And not only am i glad to have found out it also sounds like another very interesting artist to look into. Thanks so much for the info!

and the totally necessary history lesson.

  • Although Tom Waits is the genius that recorded this, the story is taken from a play called Woyzeck, written by Georg Buchner. The play was discovered in sections in Buchner's desk after he died unexpectedly at a really young age. No one really knows the correct order of the script, and probably the hardest scene to place in the entire play, in whichever order you perform it, includes a grandmother telling this story to neighborhood children. There's your unnecessary history lesson for the day :)

  • perfect.

  • who animated this?

  • this is nice

  • Beautiful. Great Job

  • This is just beautiful.

    Love Tom

  • You are a genius
