Yesterday, I decided to build a boat. $50 later, I have 8 plastic tubs from Walmart, some scrap wood, and a bunch of nuts and bolts. Oh, and a pirate flag.

  • try to wear life jacket when tryin out something like tat. Just like a test pilot having a parachute.

  • @seravios That blue thing I'm wearing *is* a life jacket :) I'm a big fan of safety equipment, especially when trying stuff that hasn't been tested before.

  • thats the stupidest fucking thing i have ever seen in my life.

  • @asssface2000 Thanks!

  • Ditch the tubs and get 55 gal plastic drums. They can be had for $10 each.

  • @loansharky That's what I wanted to do, originally, but there were a couple of drawbacks. First, I couldn't find a source for $10 plastic drums, and, second, drums can't be stacked inside each other. All the plastic tubs nest together, so the whole boat breaks down into a really small space - basically the size of one tub, one 2x4, and a plastic bag of bolts. I think 8 plastic drums would fill up the whole car...

  • I can get these tubs for $2-$3 each think about it you stack them together use zip ties and you have a portable boat that takes very little space. Orientate the tubs in other direction and you have something. I would do side by side use some PVC shaped with a line of 2 liters to make a out rigger to provide stabilization.

  • i think kendig said it best - that girl sounds like a great ex-wife.

  • This video shows perfectly how people hate to see other people succeed. The smartass narrator was hoping so bad that they'd "epically fail", then after they didn't he (or she?) made one comment after another as to why the two adventurers were "so ghetto".

    Absolute textbook jealousy.

  • Hey that's pretty cool. Just a floater, dissemble and haul it in a very small space. Cool, using your head! Just be sure and get some top quality tubs.....

  • "Omg this is so ghetto"

    Somebody drowned her please

  • Where is this?

  • "Stupidity Ahoy!"

  • tht is the coolest looking boat i ever seen

  • The red shirt fellow does not seems to have one I mean...
