DIY Plastic Tub Boat

Yesterday, I decided to build a boat. $50 later, I have 8 plastic tubs from Walmart, some scrap wood, and a bunch of nuts and bolts. Oh, and a pirate flag.

Ditch the tubs and get 55 gal plastic drums. They can be had for $10 each.

@loansharky That's what I wanted to do, originally, but there were a couple of drawbacks. First, I couldn't find a source for $10 plastic drums, and, second, drums can't be stacked inside each other. All the plastic tubs nest together, so the whole boat breaks down into a really small space - basically the size of one tub, one 2x4, and a plastic bag of bolts. I think 8 plastic drums would fill up the whole car...

I can get these tubs for $2-$3 each think about it you stack them together use zip ties and you have a portable boat that takes very little space. Orientate the tubs in other direction and you have something. I would do side by side use some PVC shaped with a line of 2 liters to make a out rigger to provide stabilization.
