  • Damn, I'm looking for a pickup that can do both. Anyone have any recommendations for a pickup that can be really aggressive and do death and thrash metal in D standard and Drop C and some more modern metal stuff, yet clean up and have great cleans for an ESP Edwards AL-128?

  • @Gonboo:

    :D

Well, now I have the perfect equipment which can do both. Jackson J-50BC ( a low impedant pickup for extrem clean sounds)+ JE-1000 !) Check out my newer covers to hear the tone!

  • How does the SD Blackout compare to the passive emg that came with the laiho guitar and how well does the SD clean up?

  • @Gonboo:

This is what I think about both:

    Blackout:

pro: lot of distortion and really clean sound on the highs; really aggressiv

    cons: too bassy

    EMG:

pro: minimal noise; really clean - cleaner than the S&D

    cons: don't know

So both are great pickups. But if you want to have a more clean but heavy sound, go for the HZ. If you want to play more aggressiv licks, death or black, go for the S&D

  • are you using string 10 or 11? can i use string 10 to drop C?

  • 0.11-0.54 for drop C. you can also you thinner strings but then you risk a stringscrape at the lower strings

  • Awesome cover, dude!

Where did you get that creature of the night shirt? I've been looking for that a while now

And is that the alexi 200 or 600??

  • @bodombeachterror666 stringscrape?

  • Do you have that kind of t-shirt wich Alexi has and what says "creature of the night"? Because if it is where did you got that?

  • there is a little tiny mistake in the first tunes, its the first thing thats played on guitar, it's just one hit og the low e end the a string, 5th fret. then a powerchord on the A and D string in 6th to 8th fret (you know, pointerfinger in the sixth and ringringer in the 8th) but otherwise, awesome cover :D
