Craig here. I am so happy you made this video response. Anyway, I never thought about how by lowering the screen, he was able to see the true fear inside of Margo. And to go along with your memories point, I think John Green says it best when he says, "Nostalgia is inevitably a yearning for a past that never was." I think that also applies to people. We remember them as we want to remember them, not how they truly are/were.

I definitely agree that it's super interesting how we construct our memories based on our perceptions of people. Our brains lie to us so much and we make people fit the molds we think they belong in much more readily than we actually see things for what they are. (Thank you for video responding!!! :D)
