  • @mrorange101 While "will" is certainly important it isn't as important as you argue here -- and has historically led to a lot of needless deaths in combat when leaders thought that if they just "wanted it enough" victory would magically appear. Note the French at the start of WW1 or the Japanese in WW2. In both cases the "cult of will" (so to speak) led to stupid decisions when generals thought that "will" could make up for deficiencies in manpower, technology, tactics, etc.
