  • In the last video example, the attacker who was offside position touched the ball which was rebounded from the opponent goalkeeper. This is an example of 'gaining an advantage by being in offside position (FIFA LAW 11) and was exactly offside offense. As someone replied, the direction of the ball is not the component of deciding offside offence.

  • thanks man! that was perfect

  • great explanation! I finally get it!

  • you keep moving around where the goal is and this makes it difficult for the layman. Sorry, dislike.

  • thanks!! this is really helpful! i looked through 20 different ones and this one is the only one tht helped! im so ready for the soccer game tomorrow!!

  • Unfortunately incaccurate as the direction the ball is played has no bearing on the offside rule. If you are behind the ball you are onside and it doesn't matter what direction the ball travels. By rule you cannot be offisde on a corner regardless of where the ball goes. Other than these points, some good info, but let's try not to perpetuate inaccurare info regarding direction of the ball.

  • best video on offside...on you tube
