Maya Missile Lauch

After messing about with different ways to achieve a missile trail this is one im most happy with. All models are made by me in Maya and it was composited in After Effects. I have spent about 9months so far learning Maya.

there is not really a tutorial for that, i made it myself but there are a couple of missile trail tutorials if you google search

How are you fading the opacity of the particles?

a ramp in the particlecloud material or an opacity expression?

hardware or software rendered?
