OLTL - Gabrielle says goodbye to Llanview

From 1991: Gabrielle Medina (Fiona Hutchison) in her final scene on One Life to Live (for her first run on the show [1986-1991], as she returned to Llanview years later after serving her "prison" sentence of contempt for failure to testify against Carlo Hesser, as well as a few years on Guiding Light as Jenna Bradshaw).

@VANITYBONET She had been sentenced already by this scene and was due to start serving her sentence of contempt (which apparently she served out on Guiding Light LoL). It was her mother Julia Medina who later shot DuAnn Demerest in a struggle over a gun at a party at Llanfair. DuAnn had been blackmailing her. Julia confessed to the crime.

@amylh322 After she left OLTL in 1991 she played Jenna Bradshaw on Guiding Light (1992-1994, 1996-1998) and then back to OLTL from 2001-2004. She returned for one last time on OLTL as her deceased character, Gabrielle on January 9, 2012.

What a waste of a brilliant character who had basically carried OLTL at some points. Fiona was incomparable in this role and the shoddy treatment afforded to her and later Andrea Evans are the biggest signs of how far the show and ABC have fallen.

@CarlD2 - I agree, and i haven't found anything on the web about what i thought was the reason Andrea left. Wasn't there some (real-life) stalker situation and she felt she would not be safe if she were on TV? What a horrible thing, i hope i didn't remember it right.

@CarlD2 So true about Gabrielle. After Fiona left in 1991, there was a gigantic void in the show that took a very long time to fill. But her 2001 return turned out to be a total train wreck. Pairing Gabrielle with Bo in 2002 made no sense since they had no history together. They were probably one of OLTL's dullest duos. Of course, the worst mistake was killing her off in 2004 as part of that forgettable serial killer story. Like you said, what a waste of a brilliant character.
